Meet The Doctor

After graduating from OSU (Go Beavers!!!) Dr. Dunn-Black began her medical career at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She joined the Air Force through their medical scholarship program to pay for medical school. After postgraduate training in New Mexico she served in the military as a Captain working in a busy emergency department. She then moved to Scott Valley, California with her husband in 1996 as he joined his brother to take over the family alfalfa farm.  

Dr. Dunn-Black established a medical practice in Yreka and spent over 10 years taking care of patients of all ages. During her time in general practice she developed a true passion for skin care and began researching and learning about cosmetic medical procedures, a field known as medical aesthetics. She also became interested in the field of regenerative and anti-aging medicine and through years of continuing medical education has become well-versed in hormone replacement therapy.  

In the spring of 2006 Dr. Dunn-Black began offering medical aesthetics procedures after hours in addition to her busy general practice. Taking a giant leap of faith, she closed her general practice and opened Siskiyou Clarity Medical Spa in March of 2007 to do medical aesthetics full time.  

Over the years the practice has grown from a one woman show to a full practice of amazing practitioners and moved to a larger location in July 2011 to accommodate the expanding practice.  Our menu of medical procedures continues to evolve as Dr. Dunn-Black strives to offer the best available treatments and technologies to help clients to look and feel their best.
